Sometimes you want to paddle your own kayak...or pedalboat.  Our rentals include all the safety and paddling gear you need.  Just remember....

• There is a 2 hour minimum on all paddles
• Renters must sign the attached waiver (or sign it at the kiosk) and provide a driver's license and credit card as a deposit
• Solo paddlers must be able to properly explain a paddle float rescue (KAT reserves the right at all times to disallow a solo rental)
• Maximum one person per seat in a kayak
• An adult must accompany a person under the age of 16 years while on the water
• Paddlers under 19 years must have the waiver/indemnity agreement signed by a parent or legal guardian
• Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) must be worn at all times while on the water
• All rentals are in Canadian currency and are subject to taxes - currently 5% GST and 7% PST

You need to sign a waiver for yourself and any minors who are paddling with you.  For minors download and sign both the adult and minor waiver forms and bring both of them with you to the dock (both must be signed even if the parent/guardian is not paddling with the minor). 

The following instructions will help you fill out the minor waiver properly:

• Page 1 Minor Cover Letter is the only place the minor person's name is used.
• Page 2 Minor Indemnity Agreement.  The parent/guardian completes as the "participant".
• Page 3 Adult Waiver of Liability.  The parent/guardian completes as the "participant". 
• Page 2 and Page 3 to be witnessed by a non-related adult.  Name of the witness must be clearly legible.
