Many paddlers are wondering about KAT's kayak rentals subsequent to the closure of our Elliott Street Wharf facility after Victoria Day.

Day / multi day rentals will continue to be offered. We also have the abiliity to drop off / pick up kayaks by trailer or by boat. Contact KAT for details.

Steveston Paddling Club and other News at KAT

After a decade of introducing newcomers to paddling in Ladner Harbour KAT will be winding down the Elliott Street Wharf facility after the Victoria Day Weekend.

At the same time we are moving forward with our long-held plans to bring to Steveston Harbour a responsible paddle sports program which cooincides with the City of Richmond's vision of greater recreational access to their harbour.

Ultiimately, KAT will be able to offer a waterfront facility similar to that in Ladner. In the interim we will be running the Steveston Paddling Club from our retail storefront located a 'stone's throw' from the No. 2 Road Pier.

It would be very helpful through this transitional period for KAT to hear from our paddlers on a couple of things, from interest in the paddling club to waterfront storage for your own kayak or canoe. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions or you want to be involved with these exciting new paddling possibilities.

Oh yes, Spring Freshet is here! If you don't know what that means and you're thinking of paddling in the estuary best give us a call.
